Jay Dyer's commercial photography is largely in the field of PR and location photography. His commercial clients come not just from South Wales but also further afield, and his photographs have been used in magazines, newspapers, and inceasingly on, web sites.
The use of Nikon digital cameras means that the turnaround on a job can be very rapid, with photographs in digital format being almost instantly available - particularly useful in PR situations. As a practising musician, Jay Dyer is also well equipped to photograph live performances as well as the more formal style of portrait photography that may suit CD covers.

Though happily embracing digital photography and the digital print, Jay Dyer has not abandoned film, and still uses medium and large format film for studio photography, and for many portrait photographs. This can then be scanned using high quality scanning techniques to produce digital output suitable for all forms of publication, and of a quality and resolution that far exceeds digital originals.
